Burlington Arcade (Association)

(1754 – 1834), the future Earl of Burlington, commissioned the architect Samuel Ware to design this covered shopping arcade. He also founded the Burlington Arcade Beadles, recruited from his regiment of the 10th Hussars, to maintain order and decorum in the arcade.
