Canon Richard Watson Dixon

Born Islington. Ecclesiastical historian and poet.
At Pembroke College, Oxford, he became one of the ‘Birmingham Group’ along with William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones. He was considered for Poet Laureate after the death of Tennyson. Died Warkworth, Northumberland.
