Charles Hindley

Member of Parliament for Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire from 1835 until his death. When he fell ill, his doctor, Robert Bentley Todd, prescribed 'Six pints of brandy to be drunk in 72 hours' as a cure. He did not survive.
