Charles Ronald Gale was born on 25 April 1951. He was the son of Ralph Leslie Ronald Gale (1891-1974) and Margaret Gale née Broughton (1915-2004). His birth was registered in the 2nd quarter of 1951 in the Tonbridge Registration District, Kent.
He was killed, aged 23 years, on 28 February 1975 in the Moorgate tube disaster, his death being registered in the 2nd quarter of 1975 in the London City Registration District..
Probate records show that his address had been 32 Belitha Villas, London, N1 and that administration of his estate was granted on 7 July 1975. His effects totalled £54,287.
He is commemorated on his in the churchyard of St Peter & St Paul's Church, Church Street, Seal, Sevenoaks, TN15 0AR and is shown as 'GALE, CHARLES' on the Moorgate tube disaster memorial in Finsbury Square, London, EC2.
