Col. J. G. Bevington, TD

The for the Old Jamaica Road memorial describes Bevington as one of "the Regiments distinguished Officers" and there is in "QRSRNL 1May 1995 p 47 and 49." We guess 'QRSRNL' is the Queen's Royal Surrey Regiment News Letter.

Possibly Bevington was responsible, with Nice, for the restoration of the memorial and, when they died during the project, it was decided to add their names, on the planters.
