Daily Courant

Daily Courant

First daily newspaper to be published in England. Published by Elixabeth Mallet from rooms above the White Hart in Fleet Street.

2022: , rightly, draws attention to the fact that this, Britain's first daily newspaper, was founded by a woman, Elizabeth Mallet, and yet she is not mentioned on the plaques, let alone honoured with one herself.
