Edward Carter Preston

Artist, renowned as a sculptor and medallist.  Born, and died, in Liverpool.

His major work is a series of sculptures at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral which took him 30 years. He designed the WW1 'dead man's penny' memorial plaque.

Brother-in-law of Herbert Tyson Smith.
