Edward Owen Greening

Edward Owen Greening

Co-operative movement activist and social reformer. Born at Warrington, Lancashire. He joined the Anti-Slavery Society and was a supporter of the Northern cause in the American civil war. His involvement with the co-operative society continued throughout his life and in 1868 he founded the Agricultural and Horticultural Association, known as the 'One and All'. Died at Oak Lawn, Belmont Grove, Lewisham.
