Elizabeth Harris

Elizabeth Harris was born circa 1860. She had been married to a Harold Harris and was a widow who was residing at 19 Hoveden Road, Cricklewood, Middlesex (now Greater London), when she was injured by a German bomb that fell on the Columbia Market air raid shelter on the night of 7th/8th September 1940. She died on 22 October 1940 at Wellhouse Hospital (later renamed as Barnet General Hospital), Wellhouse Lane, Barnet, EN5 3DJ. Her death was registered, as aged 80 years, in the 4th quarter of 1940 in the Barnet Registration District, Middlesex (now Greater London). It is currently unknown where her . 

She is shown as 'HARRIS Elizabeth 80' on the Columbia Market air raid shelter memorial in the Rose Garden, Old Market Square, Ravenscroft Park, London, E2.

She is also commemorated on the , on the  and in  that is kept just outside the entrance to St George's Chapel at the west end of Westminster Abbey.
