Elsie Inglis

Elsie Maud Inglis was an innovative doctor, pioneering surgeon, inspiring teacher, suffragist, and founder of the Scottish Women's Hospitals. Member of Women’s Liberal Federation and Federation of Scottish Suffrage Societies. The first woman to hold the Serbian Order of the White Eagle.

Born and went to school in India until 1876 when her family returned to Edinburgh. Died Newcastle on her way home from Russia.
