His wife, an artist, was known professionally as and in the 2021 New Year Honours List became Dame Phyllida Barlow when she was created a Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (DBE).
They had five children: Florence Peake (b.1973); Beatrix Clover Peake (b.1975); Tabitha Ruth Peake (b.1979) and twins: Edward Casper E. Peake and Lewis Conrad M. Peake (b.1981).
