Fireman 3rd Class Herbert White

Fireman 3rd Class Herbert White

Died in a fire at Lots Road SW.

Our colleague, Andrew Behan, was able to find very little about this man apart from the fact that when his death was registered in the 4th quarter of 1904 in the Kensington registration district, London, his age was recorded as 27 years. This would mean that he was born in either 1876 or 1877. The also shows that a Herbert White was buried on 24 October 1904 in the Camden area.

His name is also shown on the National Firefighters Memorial at Sermon Lane, London, EC4.
