Best known for 'An Inquiry Into the Original of Our Ideas of Beauty and Virtue: In Two Treatises 1.Concerning Beauty, Order, Harmony, Design 2.Concerning Moral Good and Evil' published in 1725. Died on a visit to Dublin, on his birthday, of a fever.
