Frank Rollock

Frank Sylvester Rollock was born and grew up in Trinidad. He followed his brother Roy to England in October 1959 and the next year they were playing the pans in Brixton Carnival. He played a number of other instruments as well. A few years later they were playing in the Notting Hill Carnival.

In 1974 he founded the London All Stars steel band in which his wife and seven children all played.

He co-founded the Steelband Association of Great Britain and the London Brotherhood of Steel and has held office in both organisations. Founder member the British Association of Steelbands, the successor to the London Brotherhood of Steel. In 1981, he founded the Brixton Arts Culture and Carnival Committee. A founder member of the UK Pan Tuners Guild.
