Andrew Behan has kindly carried out some research on this man: George Frederick Danielli's birth was registered in the 4th quarter of 1842 in St Pancras, London. He was the son of Frederick Joseph Danielli and Jane Julia Danielli née Reeves. His father was a Jeweller. The 1851 census shows him living with his parents at 28 New Street, Marylebone, the home of his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Reeves. The 1861 census states that he was living with his parents at 23 Grove Place, Kensington and that his occupation was a Clerk. (Grove Place is now called Beauchamp Place).
In 1868 he married Sarah Ann Stimpson, possibly related to the Stimpsons who built the wash-house) in Kensington and they had four children, Frederick Samuel Danielli, born 1869; Alexander George Danielli, born 1872; Albert Stimpson Danielli, born 1875 and Edmund Percy Danielli, born 1877. The 1871 census shows him, together with his wife and child, living at 78 Brompton Road, Kensington, the home of his wife's parents, Samuel and Sarah Stimpson. His occupation was recorded as a Commercial Traveller. By the date of the 1881 census, he, his wife, their four children and his wife's parents were all living at 25 Montpelier Square, Knightsbridge and his occupation was shown as a Wholesale Jeweller. The 1891 census shows just him and his two elder sons living at 25 Montpelier Square and his occupation was listed as 'Living On Own Means'.
In early 1892 his wife died. On 14 March 1892 he was initiated as a Freemason in The Abbey Lodge No.2030. His address was shown as 25 Montpelier Square and his occupation as a Retired Jeweller. In 1892 he is also listed as an Overseer in the United Vestry of St Margaret and St John the Evangelist Church, Westminster. On 14 March 1893 he remarried, to Annie Hull at Holy Trinity Brompton Parish Church, Brompton Road, Knightsbridge. He gave his address as 152 Brompton Road and his rank or profession as Gentleman. Telephone directories show there was a company called Geo. F. Danielli & Son, Builders, Decorators & Agents, trading from this address. In July 1895 their daughter Constance Lilian Danielli was born. Electoral registers and telephone directories show him living from 1899 to 1912 at 10 Colinette Road, Putney and the 1911 census shows him, his wife, daughter, a cook and a housemaid living at this address.
In October 1901 he resigned from The Abbey Lodge No.2030 but on 10 December 1903 he joined The Wandsworth Borough Council Lodge No.2979. However, he resigned from this lodge on 16 November 1907. Electoral registers show that his family moved in 1913 to 5 Carlton Road, Putney and it was here that he died, aged 73 years, on 9 August 1916. Probate was granted to his widow and youngest son and his effects totalled £16,955-7s-10d.
