Died aged six years. Andrew Behan has kindly carried out some research on this little boy who was killed on his sixth birthday. 

George Edward Morris was born on 13 June 1911 in Poplar, the youngest of the four sons of William Morris and Mary Ann Louise Morris née Blake. His father was a Labourer. On 14 September 1911 he was baptised at St Luke's Church, Mile End, Old Town, Stepney and the family is recorded as living at 26 Bow Common Lane, Stepney. They moved to 14 Brabazon Street, Poplar. He attended Upper North Street School, Poplar and died here on 13 June 1917, his sixth birthday, as a result of a bomb from a German aeroplane that killed a total of 18 children. He was buried on 20 June 1917 in a mass grave at the East London Cemetery and Crematorium, 260a Grange Road, Plaistow. His parents were both killed as a result of German bombing of their home at 14 Brabazon Street, Poplar on 21 July 1944.
