Golden Wedding of Mr and Mrs W. F. R. Stanley

The Stanleys, William and Eliza, married on 2 February 1857 (his 28th birthday) and were highly respected by the people of South Norwood, hence the lavishness of the tribute. This photograph was quite likely taken at the tower's opening.
