Henry Hall

Bandleader. Born in Peckham, he studied at Trinity College of Music. In 1932 he became leader of the BBC Dance Orchestra, and his weekly radio programme drew huge audiences. He always concluded his show with 'Here's to the Next Time', which became his signature tune. His recording of the 'Teddy Bears' Picnic' sold over a million copies. Died in Eastbourne.
