Entrepreneur, theatrical impresario. Born as Henryk Loewenfeld in Poland, he emigrated to England in the early 1880s. Hee he produced spot-removing fluid which sold very well, then he opened a patent registration office which was also profitable. He then became manager of the Lyric Theatre.

1890 he founded Kops Brewery. On 30 May 1892 he sent a long letter to the  promoting the benefits of a national drink reform. It was also published in the South Wales Daily News so we imagine he sent it far and wide.
