A preparatory day independent school, founded by Lt. Colonel Stuart Townend and his wife. A prototype of the school was opened in 1949 in Switzerland, and then in Knightsbridge where it is currently located. Probably its most famous pupil has been Prince Charles (shown centre in our photograph, wearing the school uniform). It was the first time that an heir to the throne attended a school, rather than being privately educated by tutors.
Currently, 2024, the school has 4 addresses: Hans Place, Cadogan Gardens, Flood Street, Founders' Hall.
