Hiroshima and Nagasaki victims and survivors

The atomic bomb named "Little Boy" was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan by the Enola Gay, a Boeing B-29 bomber, on 6 August at 8:15 in the morning. "Fat Man" was dropped on Nagasaki by the Bockscar, on 9 August at 11:01 in the morning. Enola Gay Tibbets was the name of the pilot's mother.

About 100,000 people were killed in Hiroshima and up to 80,000 in Nagasaki.
