Sculptor,RA. James Arthur Woodford, born Nottingham. There are some lovely examples of , brought to our attention by Caroline's Miscellany. Also on the Palm House Terrace at Kew Gardens there are Portland stone replicas by Woodford of the which he created to adorn Westminster Abbey for the coronation in 1953. And the wonderful has found a cache of his work in Whitehall Place SW1.

2019: reports on 4 large stone reliefs now displayed in Lime Street, at The Scalpel, opposite the Lloyds building. Originally created by Woodford for the 1957 Lloyds building.
