Jeremy Lloyd

Actor and screenwriter. Born John Jeremy Lloyd in Danbury, Essex. He appeared in the American comedy series 'Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in', and various films and other television programmes. Along with David Croft he wrote the popular television series 'Are You Being Served?' many of the characters of which were drawn from his time as a junior assistant at Simpsons of Piccadilly. The pair also wrote the equally popular 'Allo, 'Allo. He was briefly married to Joanna Lumley.
