John Hervey 1st Earl of Bristol

Politician. Nephew to John Hervey. He was MP for Bury St Edmunds, 1694 - 1703. In 1703 he was created Baron Hervey of Ickworth, and Earl of Bristol in 1714. 

Confusingly Hervey was the second 1st Earl of Bristol. The first creation, 1622, being in the Digby family of which the 3rd Earl died without issue in 1698.
