Lived at the Palace of the Savoy 1362 - 1381. Through his first wife's inheritance became the richest nobleman in England. His third wife was Chaucer's wife's sister. Powerful military leader and virtual regent for Richard II. Died Leicester Castle, aged 59, so not really that old.
