Lady Derwentwater

Anna Maria Webb was the eldest daughter of Sir John Webb, 3rd baronet, of Odstock, Wiltshire, by Barbara, daughter and coheiress of John Belasyse, 1st Baron Belasyse. Married Radcliffe 1712.

Their only son, John Radcliffe, 4th Earl of Derwentwater (1713–1731) succeeded.  John is generally accepted to have died at the age of 19 after an operation. They also had a daughter, Mary (1714–60) who had issue (not issues, though she probably had some of those as well).

During her husband's trial she stayed at Acton House (See Derwentwater House). Following her husband's beheading, she had an obelisk erected in his honour in the grounds of Acton House and then in 1721 Lady Derwentwater and her children fled to Brussels, where she died of smallpox.
