Leland Lewis Duncan

Leland Lewis Duncan

Historian, author and public servant. Born in Lewisham. He served in the War Office for forty years and was rewarded with an M.V.O. (Member of the Victorian Order) and an O.B.E. His interest in local history led to him transcribing many deteriorating transcriptions on tombstones in South London and Kent. He published several works on local history. Died in Lewisham.
We couldn't find a picture of Duncan so one of his publications is representing him.
