Lord Gowrie

Alexander Patrick Greysteil Hore-Ruthven, 2nd Earl of Gowrie, PC, FRSL, was both a Member of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. He was a Conservative politician who served as Minister for the Arts from 1983 to 1985.

He was born on 26 November 1939 in Dublin, Ireland and died, aged 81 years, on 24 September 2021.
