Lucy Lady Howard de Walden

Sister to Lord George Cavendish Bentinck and Charlotte Viscountess Ossington. With their other sisters they had jointly inherited vast wealth. When Charlotte died Lucy inherited her share and thus became doubly filthy rich! This was the point at which the Portland Estate became the Howard de Walden Estate.

In 1828 married Charles Ellis, 6th Baron Howard de Walden and was widowed in 1868.
