Labour organizer, anarchist communist. Born Texas or Virginia, as Lucy Eldine Gonzalez, possibly to slaves and had a mixed ancestry. Married Albert Parsons, a white socialist and this interracial marriage forced them to move north, to Chicago. 1888 came to Britain and spoke alongside William Morris and Peter Kropotkin. Died in Chicago in a fire.
