Luke Allen

Pilot Officer Luke Elbert Allen was born on 27 December 1917 in , Bent, Colorado, USA, the second of the five children of Frank Wilson Allen (1897-1934) and Eugie Mae Allen née Fulbright (1898-1977).

Before World War Two he was hired as a pilot by the Thompson Flying Service and moved to Denver, Colorado. He joined the in 1940 and was attached to their attaining the rank of pilot officer. In 1942 he joined the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). He flew in the Korean War in the United States Air Force and retired in the rank of captain.

He then went on to corporate flying in Utah, USA. He died, aged 91 years on 28 May 2009 in , Washington, Utah, USA and is in , Denver, Colorado.
