Major Huntly Wilson MacPherson, MC

Huntly Wilson MacPherson was born circa 1891 the son of Lieutenant Colonel Duncan MacPherson. He was married to Emma Rose Owen Wilson and lived at 548 Bessemer Street, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

As Cadet 818, he attended the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario and was commissioned into the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery.

Twice Mentioned in Dispatches and also awarded the Military Cross, he was commanding 'B' Battery of his regiment when he was killed in action near Le Cateau, France, aged 27 years, on 10 October 1918. He was buried near where he fell and on 10 April 1920 his body was exhumed and reburied in , in the Premont British Cemetery, 2 Rue de Bohain, 02110 Prémont, France.
