Manor Street 'club'

Used by a 'club' after the war but probably built for a worthy purpose, we have been unable to identify the original function of this building.

Currently as follows: "The offices are approached from a raised ground floor lobby leading to a large rear studio room with north roof lighting. There is an internal staircase leading down and open plan office with adjacent kitchen and WC’s." That 'rear studio room' is surely a clue, but to what?
