Sculptor. Born Edinburgh, where he became a goldsmith. Moved to Birmingham in 1905 where he joined The Arts and Crafts in 1919 and became their chief modeller, solely responsible for modelling all the figures, medallions and memorials until he left the firm and returned to Edinburgh in 1937. His brother and his son were also goldsmiths.
