National Service Veterans Association

The Chairman of this organisation, Mr Homer,  served in the Royal Army Service Corps 1958 - 60. He wants to get plaques in county towns and towns of military importance. There are currently {July 2023} seven such plaques in the UK. Confined to a wheelchair he raised funds with a sponsored plaque-a-thon.

As well as the 2 we have found ourselves, we quickly found a few others online: , and . The plaques are not uniform (sorry) either in design or in the words. Though the ones we've seen are consistent in  excluding the women who were conscripted.

The organisation has a rather minimal but with an animated home page.
