A Grade II listed building. It is one of England's oldest Unitarian churches, and belongs to the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches. It is known as 'the birthplace of feminism' because of its connections with Mary Wollstonecraft.

Born York. Bishop of London 1787 - 1809. The first senior church official to support the abolition of slavery. Died at Fulham Palace.
Minister at New Court, Carey Street 1759-99, following on from Thomas Bradbury, and succeeded by Dr Robert Winter, his nephew, and Bradbury’s grandson.  Buried in Bunhill burial ground.
Christian mystic, novelist and pacifist. Born Wolverhampton. 1907 married the barrister Hubert Stuart Moore, whom she had known since childhood, with no issue. Died Hampstead.
