Ola Bratlie

A telecommunications engineer from Gavdik in Norway. Killed in the Ladbroke Grove rail disaster, aged 26.

Andrew Behan has kindly carried out further research: Ola Bratlie was born in Norway on 6 September 1973. He was a telecommunications engineer of Fjellhaug, 2133, Gavdik, Norway and was living in north-west London. He died, aged 26 years, on 5 October 1999 when travelling aboard the 8.06am Thames Trains Turbo train from Paddington to Bedwyn, Wiltshire, when it collided with the 6.03am First Great Western High Speed Train from Cheltenham Spa, Gloucestershire to Paddington at Ladbroke Grove. At the subsequent inquest it was recorded that his death was instantaneous and was from multiple injuries.
