Omar Ramsden

Silversmith. Born Sheffield but spent some of his childhood in America. Had studios in Chelsea and then Fulham, with a staff of up to 20. He was a designer and businessman. There's a suggestion that he didn't actually work the silver himself. The web provides a good display of Ramsden's designs in an Art Nouveau style. Credit for the Beit plaque is given to Ramsden on the but it seems an odd item in his body of work.
