Peter Taylor

Peter Taylor

Politician and radical. Born in London. he married Clementia Doughty in 1842, and they jointly supported many radical causes. In 1845 they met Giuseppi Mazzini the Italian patriot and became close friends. They prepared a secret hiding place for him in their home in case his life was threatened. Taylor entered parliament in 1862. Died at 18 Eaton Place, Brighton.
