Flight Sergeant Richard Lear Alexander was born on 22 July 1914 in , the son of Harry William Alexander (1892-1945) and Ada H. Alexander née Zimmerman (1896-1977).

He enlisted in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve and served as a Flight Sergeant in their . His gives much information this man.

He died, aged 78 years, on 19 April 1993 in and is in Brenton Cemetery, Piper City, Ford County, Illinois, USA.
