Died aged five years. Andrew Behan has kindly carried out some research on this little boy. Robert Henry Stimson was born on 25 January 1912 in Poplar, the son of Robert Stimson and Sarah Stimson née Maldon. His father was a Carman at a Saw Mills. On 18 February 1912 he was baptised at St Dunstan's and All Saints Church, Stepney and the family is recorded as living at 91 Elsa Street, Stepney. They moved to 7 Suffolk Street, Poplar. He attended Upper North Street School, Poplar and died there on 13 June 1917, aged 5 years, as a result of a bombing air raid from a German aeroplane that killed a total of 18 children. He was buried on 20 June 1917 in a mass grave at the East London Cemetery and Crematorium, 260a Grange Road, Plaistow.
