Roman Catholic missionaries, correctly named the Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae (the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary). Founded by the Belgian priest Theophiel Verbist, in Scheut, Anderlecht, a suburb of Brussels. They are most notable for their international missionary works in China, Mongolia, the Philippines and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Eminent Protestant dissenting minister, of the Presbyterian denomination; born at Wrexham, in Denbighshire. Died London. Â Buried in Bunhill burial ground.
