Sigismund Christian Hubert Goetze

Painter, lover of the arts and benefactor of Regents Park. Born London. 1907 he bought Grove House (sometimes Nuffield House) in Regent's Park, near St John's Wood church. Set up the Constance Fund ready to finance works of art in public parks in memory of his wife. But this was set up before his wife's death (sounds like a tax fiddle to us) and he died first so the fund was actually managed by Constance.

The picture shows him with Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.

We got his dates from Wikipedia. Either he died on his birthday or a Wiki-updater has made a very understandable mistake.
