British field marshal, who conducted the defence of Ladysmith during its siege from 2 November 1899 to 28 February 1900. Born in County Antrim, Buried at First Broughshane Presbyterian Church, Ulster. The picture source web site, is worth a visit if you are interested in Sir George.
