Sir Thomas Plumer

Sir Thomas Plumer

Judge and politician. Called to the bar in 1778, he acted for the defence in a number of important cases. In Parliament, he sat in the pocket borough of Downton in Wiltshire, and was promoted to Attorney General, and the Master of the Rolls (the second most senior judge in the country), 1818 until his death.
