Suria Rachel Emma Clarke was born on 27 August 1971 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, the daughter of John and Alex Clarke. Her father was a plastic surgeon.

She was the Vice President of Media Relations at eSpeed Cantor Fitzgerald and died, aged 30 years, on 11 September 2001 whilst working on the 105th floor of the North Tower, 1 World Trade Centre, New York, USA.
