Photographer and director of TV commercials. Born Stepney. Black belt in judo. Aged 60, suffering from depression he hung himself.

Miriam Margolyes in 'This Much is True', adds that Donovan also ran a building firm.  They met when Miriam provided the sexy voice for his Manikin cigar adverts and he became her builder when she did up her house in Clapham.
