Arthur Adrian Armand Aaron was born on 7 September 1918, the youngest of the three children of David Hyam Aaron (1873-1954) and Nora Greta Aaron née Levy (1975-1950). His birth was registered in the 3rd quarter of 1918 in the Willesden Registration District, Middlesex (now Greater London).

He was shown as aged 2 years, 9 months, on the census return form completed by his father on 19 June 1921. He was living in a nine roomed property at 1 Dartmouth Road, London, NW2, with his father and his two elder daughters: Viola Margaret Malkah Aaron (1911-1989) and Barbara Helen Armande Aaron (1913-1991), together with his maternal uncle, Julien Levy, aged 39 years, who was listed as a town representative for a printers and stationers employed by D. Khan Wholesale Printers and Stationers at 55 Fann Street, London, EC1. His father described himself as the Assistant Secretary at Sun Life Assurance Company, 63 Threadneedle Street, London, EC2.

Electoral registers until 1936 show his family still residing at 1 Dartmouth Road, London, but in 1938 they were listed at the Middle Flat, 137 Maida Vale, London, W9.

The England and Wales Register that was compiled on 29 September 1939 confirms his date of birth and describes him as a chartered accountant's articled clerk who was residing in a hotel at 7 Kerley Road, Bournemouth, Hampshire (now Dorset), together with his parents. His father was shown as a retired life assurance company's secretary.

He was enlisted in 1941 in the Royal Armoured Corps, service number 7662539 and was serving as a Trooper in the Queen's Bays (2nd Dragoon Guards) when he died, aged 24 years, on 24 February 1943 as a prisoner of war in Campo Concentramento 53 (PG 53), located at Sforzacosta near Macerata in the Marche region of Italy. His body was initially buried in Macerata, but on 22 January 1945 it was exhumed and , in the Ancona War Cemetery, Frazione Passo Varano, 60131 Ancona (AN), Marche, Italy. 

Probate records show that his address had been 4 Abbey Court, London, NW8 and that he died on war service on 24 February 1943. Administration of his estate (with a will) was granted on 9 August 1943 to his mother and his effects totalled £157-9s-1d.

On 14 September 1948 he was posthumously awarded the 1939-1945 Star, the Africa Star with the 8th Army Clasp and the War Medal 1939-1945.

He is shown as 'ARTHUR A. A. AARON' on both the Bevis Marks war memorial at Bevis Marks Synagogue, Bevis Marks, London, EC3 and the Lauderdale Road Synagogue war memorial at Ashworth Road, London, W9.
