Victor Critchlow

Victor Critchlow

The Mayor of London's 2004 '' names him variously as Victor Critchlow(e)/Crichlowe and has "Victor Crichlowe is the Chairman of the Caribbean Music Association (CME{sic}) SOCA DJ’s. He is the former manager of the Carnival Industrial Projects (CIP), a youth training scheme educating young people in carnival skills. He has been associated with Carnival from the beginning.”

: "Interview with Victor Crichlow in July 2001: Victor worked with Claudia Jones on the early carnivals and later became Treasurer of the Notting Hill Carnival."

We've accepted the surname spelling on thePioneers plaque, despite it being different from the normally accepted spelling of his brother Frank Crichlow.

At the 17 June 2020 this photo is captioned: "#NottingHill #Carnival bid farewell to #Pioneer Victor Crichlow former treasurer of the Notting Hill Carnival Arts Committee. He was the brother of the late Frank Crichlow of the Mangrove Restaurant. May his soul Rest In Eternal Peace ... Condolences to his family". "This page was created for London Notting Hill Enterprises Trust (LNHCET). LNHCET was the official organisers of the London Notting Carnival for 6yrs, 2012 to 2017. This page remains open as an info hub sharing culture related info around the world."
