Walter (Wally) Burgess

Walter Harvey Burgess served as a Labour councillor in Islington for 16 years.

Born in Barking. Died at the Bridgeside Lodge Nursing Home, 61 Wharf Road. His wife, Councillor Janet Burgess, survived him and the memorial tree is close to their home where they had lived since at least 1990.
